My Philosophy:
Everyone has something they are passionate about.
For me, it is the science of investing.
As a long time financial professional and
investor, here are the most important things I’ve learned:
·
Design a portfolio that lets you sleep at night.
This means the right balance between stocks and bonds.
Stocks are of course more volatile than bonds but they provide the
critical growth that keeps us ahead of inflation.
Bonds on the other hand provide us with steady income and the stability
of principle that gives us peace.
·
Only take risks that pay off.
Own a large number of stocks, not just a few. You can lower your risk
significantly by owning a diversified portfolio of stocks yet obtain the same
return that the average individual stock offers. Did you know that an individual stock has 3 times as much risk (volatility) as a diversified portfolio of stocks?
A few quotes from clients that keep me inspired:
“The first time I met with Glenn he listened 80%
and talked 20%. He honed in on my
needs.”
“To be honest, I don’t have the time nor interest
to learn all about investing. That’s why I hired an advisor. But after about an
hour with Glenn, I felt like I had enough knowledge to make smart financial
decisions”
